A birthday present - quite high tech - a personal word processor! It meant I could participate in a tutorial-by-mail writing program I had recently applied for. It meant much neater work on the essays I was beginning to be assigned for school. It meant being ready for high school honors English. I was able to save to a floppy disk, see my writing on screen before printing, and write drafts and make corrections.
I just had to laugh when I saw the picture - it really speaks to the writer I became.

What a fantastic photo that has some meaning to your career! Those early word processors were incredible at the time. You certainly look thrilled with the present! Cute!
